Elena was shifting a page, so she didn`t hear the pop that people made when they disappeared. Or appeared. Although she could hear her name said aloud. "Daddy?" she asked, smiling from ear to ear as she stood up to look through the top of the play pen. But who ever was standing there was definately not her daddy. She had never seen the man and she took a few steps back, her eyes wide. "You`re not daddy... MOM!" she yelled, hoping that she`d come in and explain what this man was doing there. |

Malius had visibly stiffened as he heard Elena, but a second later and she looked more afraid than anything. Though honestly he didn't blame her if she was. "Your mum isn't here right now," he reminded her, taking a step closer so he was in front of the play pen. "But you and I are going to go on a little trip." |

Elena shook her head. "Mummy will be angry if I leave." she said, taking one more step back, tripping over her book and falling down. She took her foot, and her lower lip trembled - it hurt and mummy wasn`t there. "I wait for her." she murmured, her lower lip still trembling. She didn`t like that that man was there and she didn`t like that either her mummy or daddy weren`t there. |

"Are you alright?" It was automatic to ask....and it surprised him really. He knew he was just going to have to pick her up and take her, but who knew if Elena would make a fuss about it; He didn't need her to attract unwanted attention. "She won't be upset. She knows me." |

Elena looked at him and then stretched her leg as best as she could, just so that he could see her foot. "I hurt my thumb." she said, getting her feet down and wrapping her small fingers arount it again. Her lip stopped trembling as she kept looking at him. "You mummy`s friend?" she asked, most of the fear disappearing from her eyes. If he was a friend, that was okay. |

"You're fine." Well he wasn't sure, but she probably was. Little kids overreacted all the time. Or so he knew from the few times he had to watch Emma. As Elena asked if he was a friend, Malius nodded. "I was going to take you to the park. I'm sure your mother won't mind." |

Elena frown her little face. "I`m not right! My thumb hurts." she protested, standing up and taking a step to closer to him. How could he say that she was okay? He didn`t fall down and didn`t hurt his thumb. At the mention of a park her face brightened up. "Could we go and feed the birds?" she asked, smiling at him, her big eyes looking right at him. People who wanted to take her to a park couldn`t be bad. And he was her mummy`s friend. |

Malius figured Elena would forget about it a few minutes later, and if not...well then he'd have to do something about it obviously. "Sure." Keeping his distance was far better, but that was only because he had no idea how to act around Elena. Malius picked her up and took her out of the playpen and setting her back down, assuming she wouldn't try to run now since she thought he was a friend. "So get your jacket and shoes on so we can go." |

Elena`s eyes went wide at his words. "Mummy keeps it somewhere." she only mumbled. How should she now? "You are silly." she said, sitting down on the ground, and taking her thumb again. Suddenly she heard steps in the hallway and quickly jumped up to her feet, clapping her hands. "Mummy is back! We can go to park together!" she grinned. |

Malius turned to the door at the same time Elena announced Monica must be back. So talking was definatly out of the question. If Monica saw him then this would never work. Sighing, he picked up Elena and muttered an apology before disapparting. |

Monica locked the door and walked in. "I`m sorry that I took so long, hun. Some Italian guy made a scene because there was no spaghetti." she spoke, smiling to herself. Moving to the kitchen she placed the bag down and brushed her hand through her hair. Elena was way too silent. Maybe sleeping? She walked to the play pen and could swear that for a second she thought she might die. Elena wasn`t there. The play pen was empty. Fear gripped her heart and for few moments she couldn`t even breathe. Then she started to think. She was big, maybe she climbed out? Quickly she looked around, trying to spot anything that could sygnal that Elena was still in the apartment. "Elena?" she called, her voice trembling. "Honey, come out, I need to see you." to be honest she was never this scared before. Not even when she had wands pointed at her and she knew she`d die. This was worse. After few seconds she noticed Elena`s necklace, lying in the play pen. She never went anywhere without it. To be honest, she never saw her without it, since Monica gave it to her. This made her even more scared. Where could she go? And... why? The next second realization came to her. This was his revenge, wasn`t it? He wanted to hit the place that hurt most. Tears of anger appeared in the corners of her eyes as she stromed out, holding the necklace in her hand. |

Regardless if the owl knew prior where it needed to go, it was making rounds on who needed to receive a note and who didn't; told strictly too who the note was to go to, and anyone else tried to get it would get a nasty surprise. Along with the note that was sealed away in an envelope was a hemp bracelet charmed to stick to it and charmed for other reasons. You might not know me just yet, but you'll be glad you do. I need someone with your talents so tomorrow at five-fifteen there will be a meeting. Clearly I don't care if you had other plans. I expect you to be on time and I expect you to listen. You'll need to wear the bracelet if you want to get past the wards. It's also charmed so when you apparate it'll know where you need to go. Sincerely, Remington. |

Clara sent the notice with her own owl which was more tame than Remington's. It left the simple note in plan sight and then left. Thomus, There's a meeting the twentieth at five. See you there. Clara. |
